-->James Monroe Davis SPARTANBURG, SC-- James Monroe Davis, 68, of 1034 Bethesda Road, Spartanburg, died Friday, May 2, 2008. He was born on July 9, 1939, in Spartanburg and was the son of the late Harrison Daniel and Virginia Bryant Davis. He was owner and operator of Total Compressor Services and a member of Morning Star Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Nancy Geddes Davis; a son, Tommy Davis and wife Patty of Pacolet; a daughter, Nancy Ann Carter and husband Ryan of Spartanburg; four grandchildren, Zach Carter, Jaime Carter, Jessica Davis, and Matthew Davis; a brother, Daniel Davis of Duncan and a sister, Frances (Pulet) Wall of Greer. Visitation will be held from 2:30-3:45 PM on Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 4:00 PM, conducted by the Rev. Joe Geddes.
