LOUDONVILLE James J. Frawley, 69, of Orchard Grove, died Saturday, October 30, 2004 at his home. Born in Albany, James was a lifelong Colonie resident. He was a graduate of CBA and Siena College before serving in the United States Army from 1957 to 1959. He then received his bachelor's degree from RPI in 1962 and a Ph.D. in 1966. James was employed as a materials engineer for 27 years at General Electric and then for five years at Westinghouse in Schenectady, retiring in 1998. He was a member of the American Society for Metals, the New England Blacksmiths, the Adirondack Mountain Club and the American Foundryman's Society. James was the husband of the late Barbara Jean Rush Frawley; much loved father of Mary Therese Frawley (Justin Dengler) of Tarrytown and Bridget Kathleen Frawley, M.D. (Eric Scapillato) of Saratoga; brother of Mary Mulderry (John) of Loudonville, Martin Frawley of Colonie, Michael Frawley (Madeline) of Colonie and the late John Frawley. Funeral 9 o'clock Tuesday from the Reilly & Son Funeral Home, Colonie and at 10 o'clock at St. Pius X Church, Crumite Rd., Loudonville. Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery in Menands. Calling hours will be Monday from 4-8 p.m. in the funeral home. Jim's family would like to thank the New Friends Group at St. Pius X Church for the support they provided to him.
