BEAUCHAMP, Jacques Andre Philippe (Jim). Passed away after a short illness at the Lakeshore General Hospital on Friday, October 31, 2008 at the age of eighty-two. Much beloved husband of fifty-nine years to Edith (nee Thomson), and dear father of Brenda and Nancy, and the son of the late Eldege and Gertrude Beauchamp. Predeceased by brother Paul Beauchamp and sister-in-law Kay, and deeply mourned by brother Marcel Beauchamp (Susan), sisters Madeleine (the late Athol Campbell) and Carmen (the late Norman Hodges), brother-in-law Alex Thomson (the late Sheila), and sisters-in-law Mildred (the late Gerald Brady) and Renee (the late Ron Thomson). Also predeceased by brothers-in-law Andrew Thomson and Gordon Thomson, and sister-in-law May Vokey. He will also be missed by his many nieces and nephews, and his many friends. Jim retired from Nortel Networks in 1986, after 39 years of service, and subsequently enjoyed many happy years singing with The Retreads Harmony Group. The family will receive condolences on Saturday, November 8, 2008 from 2 p.m., with a service at 3 p.m. in the Chapel of Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 Sources Blvd, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, (514) 685-3344. Heartfelt thanks from his family to his doctors, particularly Dr. Billick and Dr. Laryea, his wonderful nurses, and the other staff of the Lakeshore General Hospital third floor west.
