Mr. Jack "Met" Williams - Cobbtown -Mr. Jack "Met" Williams, 73, died Monday at Metter Nursing Home. The Tattnall County native and lifelong resident was an avid fisherman, hunter and loved music. He was a skilled carpenter being one of four men, all volunteer, to construct the new Sunlight Primitive Baptist Church in 1993 and was supportive and loved the Connors Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Collins Williams. He is survived by his nephew and niece and their spouses, Michael and June Parnell of Cobbtown and Gail and Bill Palaski of Tampa, FL; special friend, Ann Hendrix Craig of Metter; other nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday at Sunlight Primitive Baptist Church with burial in the Sunlight Cemetery. The body will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time.
