Jack Frederick March 18, 2010 Jack Frederick, 64, beloved husband of Mary Kay Portelli Frederick, entered into eternal life suddenly on Thursday, March 18, 2010, at his home in Latham. Born in Syracuse, he was the son of Helen (Harrison) Frederick Lehner and the late Everett L. Frederick. Jack and Mary Kay were married on October 28, 1972, in Norwich, NY, and the two shared a blessed union of 37 years. He was a graduate of North Syracuse High School and Windham College in Vermont. He was currently the regional sales manager with Slack Chemical Company. Above all, Jack loved his wife, children, family and friends. He enjoyed family weekends on Oneida Lake and recently restored a vintage Boston Whaler. Jack was a classic car enthusiast and always loved a good joke. He was a friend to many and had a great compassion for the less fortunate. In addition to his wife and mother, survivors include his loving children, Shannon Frederick Meneses and her husband, Phil, and Erin Frederick and her fiance, Ryan McMillen; his cherished granddaughter, Violet McMillen; his sister, Ruth Cronkwright; and his dear cousin, Maureen Hallowell. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. Mass: 11 a.m. Thursday, March 25, 2010, at St. Ambrose Church, 347 Old Loudon Road, Latham.
