FREEMAN, JR., HERSHELL B., was born on July 1, 1928 in Gadsden, AL and passed away on January 17, 2004 in Orlando, FL. He was a member of the All Century Team at University of Alabama and played professional baseball for the Boston Red Sox, Cincinnati Reds and Chicago Cubs. He coached at Colonial High School and was active in Little League. He retired from Orange County Public Schools. He is survived by his wife, Linnie; two sons, Randy and Mike; two daughters, Patty Noiseau and Melinda Freeman; two grandchildren, Clint and Brittany Noiseau; brother, Gary Freeman of Gadsden, AL. Visitation for friends will be from 5-7PM Monday at Carey Hand Colonial Funeral Home on Curry Ford Road. The funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday at 4PM in the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to your favorite charity.
