JOHN D. STUART - THREE BRIDGES, N.J. - John D. Stuart, 73, of Three Bridges, N.J., died Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at his home. Born in Riverside, N.J., Jan. 4, 1941, son of the late James C. and Eleanor Hartman Stuart, he had resided in Three Bridges for 42 years. John was purchasing manager for Valcor Engineering, Springfield, N.J., for 35 years, retiring in 2005. He was a graduate of Rutgers University and served four years with the US Navy until 1965 and was discharged with the rank of Lt. j.g. John was a member of the Flemington Presbyterian Church. Surviving are his wife of 44 years, Mickey Beatty Stuart; two daughters and a son-in-law, Gwendolyn Faith Stuart of Glen Rock, N.J., and Shawn Kimberly (Stuart) Hasting and husband, Mark Hasting, of Bound Brook, N.J.; three grandchildren, Alex, Sam and Andie Hasting; three sisters, Jane Schulze of Southampton, N.J., Eleanor Gappo of Shiloh, N.J., and Nancy Bohne and husband, Paul Bohne, of Shelburne, Vt.; nephew, Paul Bohne IV; and niece, Jill Bohne Davis. Memorial services will be held Saturday, March 15, 2014, at 1:30 p.m. in the Flemington Presbyterian Church, Main Street, Flemington, N.J. Interment will be private.
