BRENTWOOD -- Isabelle Bertha Ramsey, 93, formerly of Haverhill, died Aug. 29, 2009, at Exeter Hospital. She was born in Whitefield, May 8, 1916, to Charles Edgar and Bessie (Hall) Lewis. She graduated from Whitefield High School in 1934. She was a nurse's aide during her working career, retiring in 1981 from the Merrimack County Nursing Home. She left the Haverhill area in 1989, first moving to Farmington, later to Kingston and most recently was a resident at the Rockingham County Nursing Home in Brentwood. She was predeceased by her husband, George Ramsey, on Dec. 27, 1988. Family members include a daughter, Eleanor Martin of Kingston; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. SERVICES: There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at Ricker Funeral Home, 1 Birch St., Woodsville. The Rev. Susan Ellery of the Woodsville United Methodist Church will officiate.
