Ilse Anna "Cricket" Smith, 80, died June 29, 2011, at her home. She was born in Berlin, Germany, and lived in Vero Beach for 50 years, coming from Tampa. She was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church, Vero Beach. She was married for 38 years to Jim Smith, who died later the same day. Survivors include her daughter, Debbie Clifford of Sebastian; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and sister, Carey Dabenigno. She was preceded in death by her son, Johnny Cargill; and daughter, Marylou Fleming. Memorial contributions may be sent to VNA Hospice, 901 37th St., Vero Beach, FL 32960.
