UntitledHENRY B. MCGEE1917-2009Henry B. McGee, 91, passed away on August 06, 2009 at his home in Gulf Breeze, Fl.. He was born in Worcester, Massachusetts on October 19, 1917. Henry was preceded in death by his brother Francis (Mack) McGee, his first wife Marjorie (Ford) McGee, (mother of sons Dennis and Brian), his son Dennis McGee, and his second wife Jeanette (Leeten) McGee. Henry is survived by his son Brian F. McGee, wife Marianne and their daughter Nora. Henry leaves behind his three stepdaughters, Kathleen Bouchard (husband Michael) their son Tyler of Scarborough, ME., Susan Jaber of Worcester (daughter Sharon), and Sharon Barry of Point Richmond, CA.Henry studied commercial and architectural art at the Worcester Art Museum and the New England School of Art in Boston. He worked in the field of printing and offset lithography. He received his teachers certificate from Fitchburg State College and taught at Worcester Boys Trade School and Worcester Industrial Technical Institute from 1961 to 1982. Henry McGee is a WW11 veteran, having served in the Navy. While onboard the U.S.S. Ticonderoga he received 5 battle stars in the Asiatic Pacific Area and during the Philippine Liberation. He was onboard the Ticonderoga when it entered Tokyo Bay after the peace treaty signing. His family will always remember him for his love of art and dancing. The ladies will be missing him on the dance floor. We will also remember the love and support he gave his family throughout his life. Henry's family will receive friends at Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave, Worcester, MA. Tuesday Aug. 18th between 09:00 and 10:15 A.M., with a mass at 11:00 A.M at St. Peter's Church 929 Main St. Worcester . Burial will be at St. John's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Covenant Hospice 2001 N. Palafox St., Pensacola, FL. 32501. His family would like to give special thanks to Covenant Hospice and his friends at Gulf Breeze Courtyards, Gulf Breeze, Fl. who provided him loving and competent care throughout his stay.National Cremation & Burial Society of Milton has been entrusted with the arrangements.
