SMITH _ Helen Constance (nee Sorochan) Helen Constance Smith, beloved Mother, Sister, and Grandmother, left the world peacefully on Friday, January 9, 2009, at McKenzie Towne Care Centre. Helen loved her family deeply and made great effort to treat each child, grandchild and sibling in ways special to each one. She was a popular resident at McKenzie Towne Care Centre where she loved to dance and participate in social events. Helen is survived by her children William George Simpson and Elana Raye Schumacher; her sisters Mary Merlone, and Nita Osmack; her brother Edward Sorochan; her grandchildren Sarah, Paula, John, and Philip Schumacher, and her numerous nieces and nephews. Helen was predeceased by her husband, Earl, her parents, Peter and Anne Sorochan; her sisters Margaret Kellen and Laura Sorochan. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY'S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Thursday, January 15, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
