Helen Progy Wilcoxof BinghamtonHelen Progy Wilcox, 90, of Binghamton, died unexpectedly Thursday, December 14, 2006, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. She was predeceased by her parents, Michael and Pauline Progy; and a brother, Henry Progy. She is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Stanley and Gayle Ann Progy, Binghamton; two nieces and spouses, Michelle Hockenberry, Texas, and Nancy and Samuel Smith, Fla.; five great nieces and five great nephews, Margayle Hockenberry, Texas, Jimmy and Kristen Hockenberry, Oregon, Richelle and Richard Wilkinson, and Samantha Smith, all of Florida; a great-grand nephew, Christopher; and great-grand niece, Zoe, both of Florida. Helen was retired from G.E. Co. after 28 years of service. She was a member of G.E. Quarter Century Club, past M.C.O. (President) of Aahmes Caldron #81 of which she was a member and Treasurer for many years. Past President of N.Y.S. White Fez Club, a present member of N.Y.S. White Fez Club, a past member of Joppa White Shrine, past member of St. Mark's OES Chapter and a member of Johnson City Senior Citizen's Center.A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, December 18, 2006, at 10:00 a.m. at Laskowski Funeral Home with Rev. John E. Mikalajunas officiating. Burial will be held at St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Laskowski Funeral Home on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. It is the wish of the family that in lieu of flowers, please make donations to your favorite charity.
