Chris Patterson, voracious reader and lover of animals, passed away July 14, 2013. Chris was born near Hattiesburg, MS to Edward Laird and Olivia Praytier Laird. As a child she lived in New Orleans, LA and Kosciusko, MS. After her marriage to Talmadge Patterson, she and her husband moved to New Mexico and then to Arizona where they raised a large family before returning to the South. During her life, she owned several retail businesses, and had many retail jobs. However, she was especially proud of the work she did at Mosley High School where she loved her co-workers and boss.Chris leaves behind seven children (Eve, James, Joel, Elizabeth, Jason, Melissa, and Mona) and their spouses, six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. In accordance with Chris' wishes, a private, family service will be held to celebrate her life.If you would like to honor Chris' memory, please make a donation to the animal shelter of your choice.
