Hannah Martin, age 88, of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., passed away Saturday, April 11, 2009. Hannah was born on Dec. 16, 1920, to the late William and Edith Ebersole in New London, Conn. Hannah graduated from William Memorial Institute in New London, Conn., in 1938. She married Richard O. Martin, who preceded her in death on Aug. 8, 1986. They moved from Connecticut to Fort Walton Beach, where they opened up a book store and later opened another in Destin, Fla. She traveled extensively attending book conventions all over the country. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Fort Walton Beach. She is survived by her son, Richard O. Martin of Fort Walton Beach; one sister, Edith Rogers of Lighthouse Point, Fla.; a nephew and godchild, Wayne Rogers of Wilton Manors, Fla.; nephew, Robert Cotnoir of Brandon, Fla.; and three nieces, Dorris Cotnoir of William, Fla., Kristen Bradley of Lighthouse Point, Fla., and Carol Schivner of Washington, D.C. A time of visitation will be held on Sunday, April 19, from 2 to 3 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 134 S.W. Beal Pkwy., Fort Walton Beach. Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. with Robert Bohnsack officiating. Interment will follow at Beal Memorial Cemetery. Emerald Coast Funeral Home, 113 Racetrack Road N.E., Fort Walton Beach (850-864-3361) is entrusted with the arrangements.
