COX, Gerard Patrick, D.C. (Veteran WWII) Peacefully, Thursday, January 13, 2005, at the age of 84 years. Beloved husband of Lois (nee Moore). Dear father of Cecelia Kennedy (Bill Leppington) of Toronto, Dianne Hicks (Wayne) of Eganville, Patricia Crocker of Renfrew and Brian (Shelly) of Kanata. Survived by his sister Mary Cummings of Windsor. Loving grandfather of Steven and Paul Kennedy, Wayne van Velthoven and Jeannie Kaminski, Joel Crocker, and Andrew and Stephanie Cox. Predeceased by his brothers Frank and Bernard, both of Ottawa. Gerard (Gerry) served in the Royal Canadian Navy as a Sick Berth Chief Petty Officer during WWII. He later served in the federal public service and practised in Ottawa as a Doctor of Chiropractic. Friends may pay respects at the Kelly Funeral Home, 585 Somerset Street (Centretown) Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. Funeral Monday to Blessed Sacrament Church for Mass of Christian Funeral at 10 a.m. Interment Indian Hill Cemetery, Pakenham in the spring.
