George Joseph Williams, 69, Sarasota, died Sept. 11, 2003. He was born July 10, 1934, in Yonkers, N.Y., and came to Sarasota seven years ago from Bolton Landing, N.Y. He retired in 1992 as manager of installation and repairs after 38 years at Bell Atlantic Telephone Co., Teaneck, N.J. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War, serving on USS Saipan CVL48. He was a member of Telephone Pioneers of America, Town and Country Harley Davidson Motorcycle Club in Wayne, N.J., and the Roving Golf League. He attended St. Martha's Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Eileen Everson; daughters Kathleen Rushnow of Helper, Utah, Mary Dougherty of Morristown, N.J., and Barbara of Scottsdale, Ariz.; a son, George J. Jr. of San Diego; brothers Roger of Hillsdale, N.J., and Tracey of Orlando; and eight grandchildren. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. today at Toale Brothers Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel. A liturgy will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Martha's Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Sarasota Memorial Park.
