SYCAMORE, S.C. - Mrs. Gatsie Lee Williams, wife of the late Hugh D. Williams, died Tuesday morning. She was 81. Mrs. Williams was born February 26, 1923, the daughter of the late Horace Mack Bowers and Sara Artelia Terry Bowers. She was retired form the Carolina Commercial Bank and a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Surviving are two sisters, Maxine Avant of Islandton and Doris Bishop of Ehrhardt; one brother, Henry Bowers of Barnwell. There are several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Smith-Rhoden Funeral Home with burial following in the Bethel Cemetery.
