AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Frances Patricia Toole, 77, passed away May 1, 2006 at University Hospital in Augusta. Mrs. Toole was the daughter of the late James Dayton King and the late Winifred Marcella Hernandez King of Jacksonville, FL. A graveside service for family members will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Jacksonville, FL on Saturday, May 6, 2006. Mrs. Toole was born and raised in Jacksonville, FL. In 1947, she graduated from St. Joseph's Academy where she was on the basketball team and served as its manager and where she participated in the School Choir, Glee Club and Sodality. While residing in Jacksonville Mrs. Toole was a parishioner at St. Matthews Catholic Church and she worked at the Community Chest. Mrs. Toole is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years, James Milton Toole, of One Freedom Way, Augusta, GA , her brother, Kenneth Dayton King of O'Brien, FL, her sister, Helen Marcella McHone of Jacksonville, FL and three children: Frances Melissa Davis of Atlanta, Catherine Toole Coleman (Edward J. Coleman, III) of Augusta and James Devin Toole (Deidre Wilder Toole) of Cartersville, three grandchildren: Emma Leigh Coleman of Augusta, Marcella Keenum Davis of Tuscaloosa and James Lucas Toole of Cartersville. Mrs. Toole is also survived by her nephews: James Patrick McHone of Jacksonville and Robert Newton King of Jacksonville, FL, and her niece, Sharon Lynn Hudson also of O'Brien, FL. Mrs. Toole recently resided at Kentwood Assisted Living in Augusta where she was cared for by a very loving staff for whom she had great affection. The family acknowledges with gratitude the kindness of Rev. Martino Nguyen Ba-Thong of St. Mary On-The-Hill Catholic Church who administered the sacrament of The Anointing of the Sick to Mrs. Toole in her final hours.
