FRANCES FRAN P. CLARK of Austin, Tex. formerly of Towanda, Pa.Frances Fran P. Clark, 60, of Austin, Tex, formerly of Towanda, Pa., passed away June 28, 2001, after a long battle of cancer. She left this life to go home to be with our Heavenly Father. Born in Ithaca, N.Y. on July 8, 1940, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Margery Presher. She was a graduate of Candor High School, Candor, N.Y., and Broome Community College, Binghamton. Mrs. Clark was the former manager of the Towanda Gun Club and spent many hours there, working and socializing with the members and staff. She also worked for the Bradford County Regional Arts Council, Towanda, Pa. Fran loved spending time with her family, grandchildren and many friends. She was an avid golfer and spent many happy hours on the golf course with her husband, Frank, and her many golfing friends. Fran was a former member of the Apalachin Golf Course, Apalachin, N.Y., and a member of the Towanda Country Club, Towanda. Fran was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend who touched many hearts with her generosity and compassion for everyone she met. She is survived by her husband, Frank Clark, Austin, Tex.; three daughters, Debbie Clark, Spencer, N.Y., Donna Wright Toth and husband Rick, Austin, Tex., Diana Clark, Austin, Tex.; a son, John D. Benjamin, Spencer, N.Y.; two grandchildren, Amy and Kelly Wright, Austin, Tex.; three sisters, Judy Mott and husband Bob, Canastota, N.Y., Leorah Slate and husband Ron, Romulus, N.Y., Anita Catlin and husband Al, Apache Junction, Ariz.; a brother, Franklyn Presher, Land O' Lakes, Fla.; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, John and Regina Roof, Wysox, Pa., several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Friday, July 6, 2001, at 11 a.m., at the Maryott-Bowen Funeral Home, 217 York Ave., Towanda, Pa., with the Rev. Robert Martin officiating. A private graveside service will be in Bradford County Memorial Park, Luthers Mills, Pa. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home. The family suggests that memorial contributions may be directed to the Frances P. Clark Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o Candor Central School, Main St., Candor, N.Y. 13743, to establish a scholarship fund honoring community service, in Mrs. Clark's memory.
