Davis, Frances E. NASSAU Frances E. Davis, 91, of Nassau, died at home surrounded by family on Saturday, November 1, 2008. She was the wife of the late James F. Davis and was predeceased by her brothers, Willis Bedell, James Bedell and Franklin Bedell. Frances was born in Schodack and lived her entire life in the Schodack area. She had worked for many years as a proofreader at Hamilton Printing Company in East Greenbush, retiring at age 65 in 1982. Survivors include her son, Willis (Rebecca) Davis of Nassau; a daughter, Joanne (James) Van Buren of Nassau; brothers, Walter (Margaret) Bedell of Nassau, Robert (late Audrey) Bedell of Nassau and Richard (Rita) Bedell of Castleton; a sister, Ida (Ben) Bulan of Castleton; grandchildren, James (Sherry) Van Buren and Martin Van Buren; great-grandchildren, Hannah and Samantha Van Buren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at the Ray Funeral Home, 59 Seaman Ave., Castleton, N.Y. on Wednesday November 5, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Calling hours will be Tuesday 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment, North Chatham Cemetery. Contributions in memory of Frances E. Davis may be made to a church or charity of one's choice.
