-->Fannie Turner GOWENSVILLE, SC-- Fannie Elizabeth Turner, 80, of 5359 North Highway 14, went home to be with the Lord January 14, 2008. A native of Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of the late Elbert and Lois Carter Collins and wife of Preston Willard "Will" Turner. She was a member and former Sunday School Teacher of First Baptist Church of Gowensville and retired from Landrum Mills. She is survived by two daughters, Ann Carol Turner Smith and husband Jerry and Mary Elizabeth Bennefield and husband Gary all of Greer; a brother, Rufus Collins of Duncan; a sister, Minnie McSwain of Greer; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sisters, Lottie Green and Nannie Lou Burrell; and a brother, Jake Collins. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, January 16, 2008 at First Baptist Church of Gowensville conducted by Rev. Chad Rickenbaker and Rev. David Hayes. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the services at the church Family Life Center. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Gowensville Building Fund, 5650 Highway 14 North, Landrum, SC 29356. The family is at the home. Condolences may be left at www.pettyfuneralhome.com.
