SMITH Evelyn Helen ( nee Wilmot) June 28th, 1930 - April 7th, 2008. Predeceased by her husband Jack in 1990, father Angus, mother Clara, sisters Margaret, Gladys and Mary, also brother Bill. Survived by her daughter Kathryn Elizabeth Smith of Surrey. Niece\ 2nd daughter Lori Smith (Kerry), "special grandson" Joshua Smith - all of Chilliwack. Brothers Angus (Bernice), Richard (April) and Alan. Sisters, Muriel Worley and Myrna Mucha (Bill). Numerous nieces and nephews, all of who were special to her. All of her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. Evie graduated from psychiatric nursing in 1955. She nursed at Riverview, Valleyview and Woodlands School. She retired from Woodlands School in 1988. Evie was a fantastic soft-ball player and could have been a semi-pro player but she chose nursing instead. Evie was a loving care-giver to her brother Alan for the last 18 years. Evie will be sadly missed by her family and many friends. Prayers will be held at 8:00pm, Monday, April 14th, 2008, Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00am, Tuesday, April 15th, 2008, both will be held at Immaculate Conception Church, 8842 - 119th Street, Delta, BC. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Breast Cancer Society.
