Ella Mae Parker, 80, died Oct. 16, 2009, at her home. She was born in Quitman, Ga., and lived in Fort Pierce for 56 years, coming from Quitman, Ga. She retired as a site foreman with the Indian River County School District. She was the mother and one of the founders of Immanuel Full Gospel Baptist Church under the leadership of the Rev. Kenneth Bell. Survivors include her husband, John Henry Parker of Fort Pierce; son, Henry L. Parker Jr. of Riviera Beach; daughters, Gloria Graham of Clermont, Delores Parker of Vero Beach and Jacquelyn Parker-Darden of Fort Pierce; stepdaughter, Mary Lee Parker of Greenville; brother, James I. Richardson of Fort Pierce; sisters, Lizzie McGriff and Thelma Howard, both of Fort Lauderdale, Mary Parker of Fort Pierce and Martha Maxwell of Quitman, Ga.; 11 grandchildren; 10 stepgrandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 10 stepgreat-grandchildren; and one stepgreat-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Louis Richardson, William Richardson, Joel Richardson, Jimmy Lee Richardson and Theodore Richardson; and sisters, Dora Mae Smith and Maggie Clark. Services: Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Oct. 23 at Immanuel Full Gospel Missionary Baptist Church and 9 to 10 a.m. Oct. 24 at Sarah's Memorial Chapel. A celebration of life will be at 11 a.m. Oct. 24 at Greater Mount Pleasant Primitive Baptist Church, with the Rev Kenneth Bell officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Memorial Park.
