MURRAY--Elizabeth. Brooklyn College mourns the passing of renowned art professor and acclaimed New York artist Elizabeth Murray, 66, who died August 12, 2007, of complications of lung cancer, while on a leave of absence from the college, where she had taught studio classes in the prestigious Master of Fine Arts program since 2003. Our faculty, staff and graduate students were affected by her warmth and inspired both by her enormous accomplishments in the art world and her accessibility in the classroom.
