HARRIS _ Elizabeth H. (nee Slater). Betty was born in Winnipeg on April 8, 1920 and died after an extended illness in West Vancouver on December 27, 2002. She was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-eight years, Stanley, who died in 1982. She is survived by daughters Patricia Sinclair (Calgary) and Margot Harris (Toronto), sons Michael (Seattle, WA) and Robert (Birch Bay, WA), sister Barbara Coote (West Vancouver), and seven grandchildren. Betty and Stan spent their early years in Vancouver before embarking on the corporate transfer lifestyle which took them to Brisbane (Australia), San Francisco, St. Louis, Montreal, and Toronto before retiring to Qualicum Beach in 1981. Betty was diagnosed with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy in 1997 and soon after moved back to Vancouver to live out her final years. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, December 30, 2002 at Boal Chapel, 1505 Lillooet Road, North Vancouver, BC (604-980-3451).
