Edna Mae Parker, 96 SCARBOROUGH - Edna Mae Parker, 96, died Sunday, June 19, 2005 at the home of her daughter, Elaine Eldridge in Scarborough. She was formerly of Forest Avenue in Portland.She was born in Cornish on Oct. 4, 1908 the daughter of Harry and Georgia Wilcox Pendexter. She was a graduate of Cornish High School, class of 1927.She worked at the former Porteous store in Portland and also Markson Brothers as a sales clerk.She was member of the Rebecca Lodge in Cornish and enjoyed camping, crocheting and most of all, her family. Edna always looked forward to the month of October when she would take her annual trip to the white mountains of New Hampshire. She also enjoyed the many plane rides with her grand son-in-law.Her husband, Winthrop Sterling Parker died in 1997.She is survived by a son, Sterling Parker and his wife Janice of Cumberland; three daughters, Dorothy Mason and her husband Norm of Westbrook, Glenna Googins and her husband Merle of Cornish, and Elaine Eldridge of Scarborough; two sisters, Doris Larlee of Meridith, N.H., and Lois Davis of Cornish; and seven grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.Edna was predeceased by a son, Linwood; two brothers, Donald and Maurice Pendexter; a sister, Stella Pendexter; and two brothers-in-law, Brad Davis and Russell Larlee. She also is predeceased by a sister-in-law, Patricia Pendexter, and three grandchildren.Relatives and friends are welcome to call Wednesday, June 22 from 12-2 p.m. at the York Funeral Chapel, Maple Street, Cornish. A graveside service will follow at the Riverside Cemetery in Cornish. The Rev. Merle Steva will officiate.Edna Mae Parker
