Elizabeth D. McKenna "Betty" of New City passed away on August 19, 2001. She was born on May 14, 1929 in New York City to Thomas & Anna Casey Dwyer, Betty married her husband James McKenna in 1957, he predeceased her in 1990. Betty was a volunteer foster grandparent at the Summit Park School for 6 years, and most recently volunteeredat the Busy Bee School in New City. Betty is survived by her children Anna Lange and her husband Andrew, Carolyn McKenna, James McKenna Jr. and his wife Allison, 3 Grandchildren James III, Liam and Christopher. Also surviving is a brother Thomas Dwyer of Riverdale, and a sister Anna Buffa of Daytona Beach, Fla. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Weds at 10 AM at St. Anthony's Ch in Nanuet with interment to follow at the F. Loescher Veterans Cem in New Hempstead.
