KENNEY , Dorothy Marguerite 1925 - 2009 On Thursday, April 16, 2009, Dorothy Marguerite Kenney passed away at the Biggar, Saskatchewan Hospital, after a courageous battle with cancer. Dorothy was born in Vulcan, AB and was one of five children of Roger and Marguerite Hubbard. Dorothy will be lovingly missed by her daughters: Linda (Frank) Ricker, Carol (Monty) Wood; grandsons: James (Jackie) Wood, Wayne Barnhart; and her sister Shirley Manson. She was predeceased by her grandson Louie Nish. Dorothy worked hard all her life and driving seemed to be in her blood. She started out driving a gas truck at the High River airport during the war and went on to drive for Rosedale Cleaners, Action Parts and Sunrise Industries, even at one point guiding an eighteen-wheeler through the mountains of BC. Whether at work or at play Dorothy sure did it her way. In retirement years shuffleboard with her friends at the Forest Lawn Legion was the highlight of her week. We, her family will remember her for her caring ways, her independent spirit, her sense of humor and her love for family and friends.
