Dorothy Clark 1920-2012 Dorothy Clark, 92 passed away Friday December 28, 2012 at Thompson House in Brattleboro, Vt. She was born in Guilford, Vt December 10, 1920 the daughter of Edward and Bertha Franklin. Dorothy was a resident of Guilford, VT, her entire life. She was a graduate of Brattleboro Union High School Class of 1938 and married Kenneth Clark on June 25, 1939. He predeceased her in 1986. She worked for many years as a waitress at the Latchis Restaurant and at Stacia's in Brattleboro and was a devoted daughter, caring for her mother in her later years. She enjoyed her flowers and vegetable gardening and was a member of various Guilford community organizations from time to time. She had two sons, Philip Clark, who predeceased her, and Alan Clark of Colorado.She was a member of the Guilford Community Church and attended services there until her health prevented her from attending. She was also a member of the Ladies Aid Society and Church Bible Study Group. She spent three years in assisted living at Hilltop House in Brattleboro prior to being placed in nursing care at Thompson House.She is survived by her son, Alan Clark and his wife Kathy of Westcliffe, Colorado as well as four grandchildren, Jennifer Clark of Brattleboro; David Clark of Guilford; Samantha Clark of Portland, Oregon; and Sean Clark of Breckenridge, Colorado. She also has one great-grandchild, Abigail, daughter of Jennifer.FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral Services will be held on Friday Jan.4, 2013 at 10:00 AM at the Ker-Westerlund Funeral Home, 57 High St. Brattleboro. The Rev. Lise Sparrow, Pastor of the Guilford Community Church will officiate.Interment will take place a later date in Guilford Center Cemetery
