Dorothy A. Godwin, 44, Rotonda West, died April 12, 2005. She was born Sept. 3, 1960, in Hamilton, Ohio, and came to Naples 15 years ago from Kalamazoo, Mich. She moved to the Englewood area two years ago from Naples. She was a homemaker and a member of the Christian Life Center of Englewood. Survivors include her husband, Douglas L.; stepsons Toney Zantello of Cape Coral and Justin of Naples; a stepdaughter, Ashley Barer of Naples; brothers James R. Sams of St. Charles, Mo., John C. Sams of Holland, Mich., Michael Sams and Larry J. Sams, both of Kalamazoo, Mich., and Douglas A. Sams of West Palm Beach; a sister, Mary S. Jackson of Kalamazoo; and a grandchild. A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Christian Life Center in Englewood. Lemon Bay Funeral Home, Englewood Chapel, is in charge.
