Martin,Doris Ruth Barron, 78, of Eustis, FL died on Saturday, June 17, 2006. Born in Johnson City, TN, she graduated from Miami Edison High School in 1946. She moved to Eustis in 1996 from Broward County, FL, where she resided for over 20 years. She was a Homemaker, Volunteer for the Broward Co. Hospice, was a solo vocalist singing at various senior centers and other social & musical events. Ruth was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Ft. Lauderdale Ward, where she taught Sunday School & sang in the choir, Independent Order of Foresters, United Daughters of the Confederacy, and was a Guardian ad Litem. She is survived by son, Gary R. Carruth of Fort Pierce, FL; 3 daughters, Laurel Carruth Barrus of Coral Springs, FL, Beth A. Carruth of Miami, FL, Faith D. Martin of Eustis, FL; 2 step-sons, Joseph A. Martin, Jr. of Lehigh Acres, FL, James R. Martin of South Carolina; 4 sisters, Elaine Power of FL, Madge Griffing of CA, Evelyn J. Davis of FL, Mary O'Neil of LA; 7 grandchildren, Chad, Bradley, Kyle, Margie, Rachel, Lisa, Cindy; and a few great-grandchildren. Services will be held at Harden/Pauli Funeral Home, Eustis on Friday, June 23, 2006, at 12:00 Noon. Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.
