Doris McKay Hindman, 77, passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2003, and is now at peace. Born April 12, 1926, she was a longtime member of Christ Church United Methodist, the Eastern Star, Job's Daughters and Hunting Creek Country Club. She was also a volunteer at the James Graham Brown Cancer Center, Norton Hospital and Kosair Children's Hospital for many years. She was the beloved wife of William R. Hindman for 53 years, the dear mother of Susan Schneider and Gregory (Bernadette) Hindman and the loving grandmother of Jodi (Scott) Thomas, Matthew Schneider and Patrick Schneider. She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy McKay Inman, her father, Earl O. McKay, and her sister, Shirley Boudousquie. A memorial visitation will be held from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, May 18, 2003, at Ratterman's, 3711 Lexington Road. In lieu of flowers, friends may wish to make a donation to Christ Church United Methodist or Indiana University Foundation in Doris' memory.
