Doris Horton, 91, passed away in Topeka at Stormont Vail Hospital after a brief illness November 7, 2013. Doris was born in Wayside, KS, June 17, 1922, to Bert and Lillian Horton. Doris graduated from Pittsburg State University with a BA and MA in Business Education. She also received an Education Specialist Degree from the University of Florida in Gainesville. She taught for many years at Broward Community College as a business teacher in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She retired in Topeka, KS. She traveled frequently and also loved birding.
