Doris E. Armstrong CLINTON Doris Elizabeth Armstrong, 98, of Clinton, formerly of Utica, passed away Saturday, March 8, 2014, at her home. Doris was born August 23, 1915, in Utica, the daughter of Fred and Mae (Waterbury) Wilkie. She was raised and educated in Utica by her mother and step-father, Harold (Butch) Hensel. On February 27, 1956, Doris married Nicholas Armstrong in Oneida, NY. Mr. Armstrong passed away in 1995. She was of the Episcopal faith. In her younger years, Doris was a bowler and a dancing enthusiast. Doris is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Nicholas, Jr., and Cynthia Armstrong, Clinton, and two grandchildren, Nicholas R. Armstrong and Nicole Armstrong, both of Clinton. She was predeceased by a sister, Ruth Hensel, and two brothers, Edward and Thomas Armstrong. Mrs. Armstrong's funeral will be held on Wednesday, March 12, 2014, at 10:45 from the Heintz Funeral Home, 10 East Park Row, Clinton, and 11:30 a.m. at the chapel of Mount Olivet Cemetery in Whitestown.
