SMITH, Diane M. (Letendre) (nee Best) Born December 26, 1952. Died after a courageous battle with cancer, on September 14, 2007. Loving wife of Maxwell Smith. Beloved mother of Raymond (Zahra) Letendre, Jennifer Letendre, Christine (Neil) Easterbrook, Maxwell Jr. (Kim) Smith, Kathleen (Jason) Smith. Cherished meme of seven loving grandchildren. Daughter of the late Ernest and Leona Best and daughter-in-law of Hermelinda Williams. Dear sister of Tom (Veronica), Gary (Marie), Leo (Sue), Sharon (friend Randy) and the late Danny Best (2002). Dear sister-in-law of Wayne (Martha), Gary (Janette), and Keith (Sue). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Best friend of Theresa and Carman. Diane worked 21 years at Windsor Regional Hospital, Met Campus in medical records. Donations to the Windsor Essex County Cancer Centre Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
