David P. Gaudreau -- May 17, 1946 -- May 3, 2005 -- CHARLESTOWN, R.I. -- David P. Gaudreau, 58, of Meadow Lane, formerly of Brooklyn, CT, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, while vacationing in Bermuda. He was the husband of Roberta (L'Heureux) Gaudreau, who survives him. They were married on August 7, 1999 at Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Mr. Gaudreau was born in Putnam, CT on May 17, 1946, the son of the late Alcide and Jennie (Sugalski) Gaudreau. He attended St. James School in Danielson, CT and the H.H. Ellis Technical School in Danielson. Upon completion of his education, he apprenticed, and became an electrician for forty years. He was a resident of Brooklyn, Ct for many years, until relocating to Charlestown, R.I., in the mid1990's. Mr. Gaudreau loved the ocean, which he enjoyed experiencing with his grandchildren at his residence at East Beach. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union #35, and a member of the Danielson Lodge of Elks #1706. He was also a member of the East Brooklyn Fire Dept. for many years. Besides his wife, he leaves a son, Steven D. Gaudreau and his wife Michelle of Middletown, CT; a daughter, Brenda Schena and husband, Mark of Brooklyn, CT; a stepson, David Schies of N.C.; a stepdaughter, Anita Langan and her husband, David of N.C.; a brother, Richard Gaudreau of Brooklyn, CT; four grandchildren, Rachel and Sarah Gaudreau, and Alyson and Zachary Schena; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Rodney Gaudreau. Funeral arrangements are private and at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
