WILLIAMS David M. Williams, age 67 of Beacon Falls, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport. Born in this city, he was a resident her about 40 years and spent the last seven years in Beacon Falls. David was a retired Bridgeport police officer with 27 years of service. He was a former member of Bethel A.M.E. Church, the Guardians, the Colonel Charles Young American Legion Post #140, Winston R. Dina V.F.W. Post # 9991 and New Era Lodge #290 I.B.P.O.E. of W. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Alba Vidro Williams; a son, Christopher D. Williams; and two daughters, Chelsea Williams, all of Beacon Falls and Mia Gosselin of Florida; his mother, Gladys Munford of Bridgeport; and a sister, Elizabeth Matthews of Florida; other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at Mt. Aery Baptist Church, 73 Frank St., with Rev. Donald C. Luster, officiating. Interment will take place following the service. Friends are invited to the viewing Wednesday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the church. Morton's Mortuary, 25 Margaret E. Morton Lane, Bridgeport is in charge of arrangements.
