David Lee Williams "The Duke" - Savannah -On Friday, June 23rd, he went into an eternal rest at his home, after suffering with a long term illness. Mr. Williams was born September 11, 1952. He was a native of Savannah and worked for Cititrends Warehouse for 6 years. He was also a Master at Bartending for the Oglethorpe Club, Knights of Columbus and Boar's Head. He attended Richard Arnold High School. Mr. Williams is survived by his parents, Woodrow Williams, Sr. of Lake City, FL and Retha Mae Williams of Savannah, GA; two sisters, Mary Johnson and Gennell (Alex) Demery of Savannah, GA; two brothers, Woodrow Williams, Jr. of Jennings, FL and Sammie Williams of Savannah, GA; two uncles, Theodus (Helen) Williams of New York and Alphonso Williams of Savannah, GA; three aunts, Shirley Mae (Jimmy) Young and Corrine Oglesby both of Swainsboro, GA, Unistine Lewis of Augusta; two great aunts, Geraldine Jones of Swainsboro, GA and Christen Sanders of Savannah, GA; four nieces, Cynthia (Bernard) Hayes, Tonya Johnson, Akia (Geoffrey) Dumas and Brandi Williams of Savannah, GA; three nephews, Sammie Williams, Jr., Brandon Williams and Woodrow Williams, III; a very special friend, Ms. Vernita Wilson; He also has a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors. Memorial service: 1:00 p.m., Friday in the Chapel of Hubert C. Baker Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
