David Carson Williams, 17OKEECHOBEE - David Carson Williams, age 17, of Okeechobee, died Saturday, Aug. 1, 2009, in Big Pine Key. Born Aug. 3, 1991, in Ft. Pierce, he was a lifetime resident of Okeechobee. Carson was a member of the Okeechobee Football Team, FFA, 4-H, and 2009 Champion Bronc Rider at the Day of the Cowboy Rodeo in Okeechobee. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Lanny Stokes. He is survived by his parents, David and Pam Williams; brother, Cody Williams (Franny Watford); sister, Channing Williams (Duane Bowman), all of Okeechobee; niece, Taylor Watford; grandparents, Haynes and Susan Williams of Okeechobee; grandmother, Hazel D. Williams of Lake Placid; grandmother, Diane Stoker (Poe) of Okeechobee; grandmother, Carole Stokes of Tampa; great-grandmother, Eva Mae Williams of Okeechobee; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. In addition he is survived by a host of special friends. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug 6., in the Buxton Funeral Home Chapel, and services will be 9:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 7, in the Agri-Civic Center with Pastor Cary McKee officiating. Interment will following in Evergreen Cemetery.
