Claire (Carter) (Daley) Rogers, 93, of West Concord died at her residence on Friday, Oct. 15, 2010. She was born in Shawinigan Falls, Canada, on April 22, 1917, daughter of the late Calvin and Aurore (Teasdale) Carter and was the wife of the late John Daley and Joseph Rogers. She grew up in Canada and moved to the United States at the age of 9. Claire graduated from Everett High School and was married to John Daley before he went overseas during World War II. She worked as a Medical Transcriptionist for Melrose Wakefield Hospital for over 20 years. After her first husband died in 1979 she married Joseph Rogers in 1981, He died in 1993. Mrs. Rogers was a member of the North Shore Round and Square Dance Club and belonged to the Forever Young Club. She is survived by her daughter Lynn and Lynn's husband Mark Forgues, of Littleton, her daughter- in- law Kathleen (Shedd) Daley of Lexington, Ky. Claire was also the mother of the late Lawrence W. Daley. She is also survived by her Grandchildren Jennifer and her husband Dewey Spencer of Jamaica Plain, and Christopher Forgues, of Providence, R.I., Marcus and his wife Christine Daley and Matthew and his wife Aprile Daley all of Lexington, Ky. She was also the great-grandmother of Ryan Daley, Zachary Spencer and Jacob Spencer and several nieces and nephews. Contributions may be made to Concord Park Assisted Living, 68 Commonwealth Ave., West Concord, MA 01740. All are welcome to attend a Memorial Service to be held at Badger Funeral Home, 347 King St., Littleton, on Tuesday, Oct. 19, at 2 p.m., and to later join the family and friends at the home of Mark and Lynn Forgues, 1249 Hill Road, Littleton.
