Christine Penn Henderson, 96, widow of Thomas Wells Henderson, Sr., died June 15, 2009, at Hospice House.Born in Greenwood, June 10, 1913, she was a daughter of the late James Christie and Mary Coleman Penn. She was employed by Bankers Trust, where she was manager of the Harris Branch and later served as office manager of Coleman Realty for 17 years until her retirement at age 83.Surviving are a son, Thomas Wells Henderson and wife Ellen; a daughter, Penn Henderson Dean, all of Gowensville, S.C.; grandchildren, Shannon D. Joseph of Greenwood, Wells M. Henderson of Ann Arbor, Mich., and Christine H. Tiller of North Charleston; great-grandchildren, Payton W. Joseph and Caroline P. Joseph, both of Greenwood; and a sister, Virginia Penn Johnson.Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Edgewood Cemetery.
