CAPE CORAL, Fla. - Charles R. "Chuck" Williams, 55, of Cape Coral, Fla. entered into eternal rest on Saturday, June 6, 2009, at Hope Hospice, Cape Coral, Fla., after a brave battle with cancer. He was born on Nov. 7, 1953 in Elizabeth, N.J., a child of Robert and Carol Williams. Chuck grew up in Fords, NJ, graduated from Woodbridge High School in 1971 and received a master's degree in Music Education from Hart School of Music, Hartford, in 1977. Chuck was an accomplished musician. He played clarinet with the Guadalajara Symphony Orchestra in Mexico and found a calling in worship music. He wrote and composed his own music for his CD "First Steps" in 1997. He was an administrator and resident worship musician of The Vineyard Community Church in Cape Coral, Fla., where he was referred to as the "sax man." He enjoyed playing tennis and spending time with his family. Chuck was the manager of Ann Taylor Distribution Center in New Haven and was vice president of Ann Taylor U. S. Distribution Center in Louisville, KY. When he moved to Cape Coral, he owned Coast to Coast Fence Company and Acorn Business Advisors. He was a member of the Cape Coral Chamber of Commerce, Christian Chamber of Commerce and BNI. Chuck is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Christine (McCool) Williams; his sons, Jasen Charles and Robert John, both of Cape Coral, Fla.; his parents, Robert and Carol Williams, of Clayton, N.Y.; his siblings, Ginny (Dave) Delaney, of Wallingford, Barbara (Brian) Mills of Mount Pleasant, S.C. and Tom (Tina) Williams, of Cape Vincent, N.Y.; and many nieces and nephew, Kristin Delaney, of Delray Beach, Fla., Karen Delaney, of Stamford, Michia Rohrssen, of Mount Pleasant, S.C., Katherin Williams, of Clayton, N.Y., and Heidi and Lauren Hess, of Cape Vincent, N.Y. Chuck was predeceased by his father-in-law, John McCool, and is survived by his mother-in-law, Genny McCool of Pinellas Park, Fla., as well as sisters and brothers-in-law, Lynn-Ann (Scott) Wilcox, of Eustis, Fla., Kevin (Janet) McCool, of Wallingford and Keith McCool, of Meriden. He leaves behind other nieces and nephews as well, Brian Wilcox, of Eustis, Fla., Erin and Meghan McCool, of Wallingford, and Kasey Holguin, of Meriden. A memorial worship service will be held on Wednesday, June 10, at 6 p.m. in The Vineyard Community Church, 923 SE 47th Terrace, Cape Coral, FL 33904. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be sent to either the above named church or Hope Hospice, 9470 Health Park Circle, Ft. Myers, FL 33908.
