Cecile Plourde 94, of New Britain, died Dec. 28, 2007, at Plainville Health Care. She was born in Stockholm Maine, the daughter of the late Thomas and Modeste (Chasse) Plourde and lived most of her life in New Britain. She had been employed at Fafnir Bearing Co. She was a member of St. Peter Church, the Ladies Guild at St. Peter and the St. Ann's Society. She is survived by her two sons, Joseph (Ray) Plourde and his wife, Joan, of Plainville, and Reginald Plourde, of Long Island, N.Y.; her four daughters, Linda Zavecz, of New Britain, Jacqueline and her husband, Douglas Blowers, of Cromwell, Maryann Cumbo and her husband, Ralph Paul, of Plainville, and Joanne Stuckey, of McDonough, Ga.; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Damase Plourde. The funeral was held Jan. 6 at the Farrell Funeral Home, New Britain, with a Mass at St. Peter Church, New Britain.
