UntitledCAROLYN "ANITA"JUANITA SMITH1954-2008Carolyn "Anita" Juanita Smith, age 53, of Pace, passed away on Friday, January 18, 2008 at West Florida Covenant Hospice.Anita was born on March 5, 1954 in Pensacola. She was a Sales Representative for R.J. Reynolds, a longtime member of the American Humane Society, was an animal lover, loved cooking, gardening, swimming and fishing. She is preceded in death by her parents, Bud and Ellen Browder.Anita is survived by her husband, Charles Smith; son, Phillip Victor Jr.; daughters, Veronica A. Nowling and Rachel Owens; step-son, Chris Smith; brothers, Roger Browder, Joe Browder, Earl Browder, Bobby Browder, Ronnie Browder and David Browder; sisters, Darla McGill, Gail Pitman and Brenda Handy as well as six grandchildren.The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, January 20, 2008 in Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel with a memorial service immediately following, The Reverend Byron Smith will be officiating.BAYVIEW FISHER-POU CHAPEL is in charge of arrangements.In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 5401 Corporate Woods Drive, Pensacola, FL 32504.
