UntitledCAROLYN T. JOHNSON"JITTERBUG"1939-2009Carolyn (Jitterbug) Johnson, age 70 of Pensacola, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2009 in her home after a courageous battle with cancer. Jitterbug was born in Pensacola, FL, graduating from Pensacola High School and was a featured majorette at the University of Southern Mississippi, where she attended. Jitterbug retired from Champion Paper Co. She was an avid Gator fan and loved to be with all of her children and grandchildren at their lake house in Titus, AL. She was a member of St. Luke's Methodist Church. Jitterbug will be remembered for her big heart and putting other's needs before her own.She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Ray Johnson; daughter, Cheree Shaykhian; sons, Sheldon and Sterling Johnson; grandchildren, Jenna, Laila, Carol Ann, Bailee, Matthew; and great-grandchild, Kyran; sisters, Bobbie Gibson, Jean Burkett, Saundra Stack; and brother, Donnie Tidwell, all of Pensacola.Funeral service will be held 10:00 AM on Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North, with Reverend Jason Adams officiating. Interment will follow at Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery,The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 21, 2009 from 6 to 8 PM.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Jitterbug's honor to Covenant Hospice, 5907 Berryhill Road, Milton, FL 32570.You may express your condolences at fcfhs.com
