Bobbie Jo Ghrigsby Williams, 51, died Thursday, May 24, 2001, after an extended illness. She was a native of St. Joseph, Tenn., and was a resident of Florence for several years. She was the daughter of the late William Ezra and Letha Landers Ghrigsby. Bobbie was a well-known hairdresser in Florence for many years and most recently co-owner of the Designing Salon.She was a member of Magnolia Church of Christ, where she served as co-director of the childrens Bible program.Visitation was Friday evening at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral will be Saturday, May 26, 2001, at 2 p.m., with burial in Greenview Memorial Park.Mrs. Williams will be placed in the church one hour before the service. Joe VanDyke, minister of Magnolia Church of Christ, will officiate.Bobbie is survived by her husband, Charlie Williams of Florence; daughters, Kaisha Lyles and husband, Daniel, and Amber Williams, all of Florence; brother, Dan Ghrigsby and wife, Ann, of Anderson, Ala.; sisters, Carolyn Jacques and husband, Ronnie, of Muscle Shoals, Ala., Shelia Simpson of Lawrenceburg, Tenn., and Donna Johnston and husband, Don, of Lawrenceville, Ga.; and a number of nieces and nephews.Bobbies family would like to thank all those friends who loved and supported her in her battle with cancer. Special thanks to Peggy Irons, Mary Wilson, the staff of the Designing Salon, and her extended family at Magnolia Church of Christ who always were there for her and her family.Greenview Funeral Home is directing.
