Bernice Doris Beard (née Clouthier) 1936-2003 The Daily Press Friday, May 16, 2003-07:00 Obituaries-Unexpectedly but surrounded by family on Thursday, May 14th, 2003, at Timmins & District Hospital aged 66 years of South Porcupine. Beloved wife of the late Harold Beard (1986). Loving mother of Michael, Danny (Ginette), Glenn (Laura) and Randy (Cathy) Beard of South Porcupine and Annalynn Burnett (Mark) also of South Porcupine. Grandmother of Michael Jr., Jeffrey, Travis, Christopher, Brodie, Trevor, David, Allan, Bradley, Steven and Katerina Beard. Sister of Mrs. Vivian Beyer-Priebe of South Porcupine, Ivan (Brenda) Clouthier of Timmins and sister-in-law to Annie Clouthier of Pembroke and William (Dorothy) Beard of Kirkland Lake. Loving daughter of Yvonne Clouthier (née Duchene) of South Porcupine. Bernice is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her father Ernest Clouthier (1990), brothers Ernest (Sonny) Clouthier (1998), Maurice (Little Moe) Clouthier (1994) and a daughter-in-law Sheila Beard (2001). Born in Petawawa, Ontario, Bernice had been a resident of the Porcupine Camp most of her life having been employed by the Porcupine General Hospital for 14 years. She was a member of the Legion Ladies Auxiliary Branch #287 South Porcupine. Bernice was an avid dart player, enjoyed camping and the out of doors, and loved to watch sporting events on television, especially hockey. Bernice lived life to the fullest and enjoyed everyday with her family and friends. Remembrance donations in her memory will be graciously received through the funeral home to the Muscular Dystrophy Association or the Timmins & District Hospital. Mass of the Resurrection to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday May 17th, 2003 at 11:00 a.m., at St. Joachim’s Church with Father Mitch Sliwa officiating. Interment to follow at Tisdale Cemetery beside her husband. Prayers will be recited with Father Mitch at 7:30 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home. The family will receive friends on Friday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Stinson Funeral Home, 100 Bruce Ave., South Porcupine.
