WILLIAMS, Bernard (Bernie) Neil Feb 17, 1924 - Jan24,2013 Passed away peacefully in Royal Inland Hospital surrounded by his family. Born in Vancouver, grew up in Burnaby. Survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Vera,children Rick (Luci), Cheri (John), Gord (Lori), Leslie (Craig), 15 grandchildren,10 great grandchildren. Predeceased by brothers Earl, Alvin and Gord and granddaughter Danielle. Served in RCAF 1942-46. Loved watching sports (favourite teams-Toronto Maple Leafs and Blue Jays) and played many sports. Was goalie for New Westminster Royals soccer team. Coached New Westminster girls softball team to 5 B.C.championships. Coached boys baseball in Delta. Had first Canadian colt team to play In Riverside, Cal. in 1968 World Serires Championship. Was a member of the I.W.A for 38 years, retired in 1985, moved to Logan Lake in 1990 and enjoyed many years camping and fishing With wife, family and friends. The family would like to express gratitude to neighbours and friends who offered condolences and helped at this very difficult time. No service by request.
