Beatrice H. Nadeau SOMERSWORTH - Beatrice H. Nadeau, 88 of Crest Drive died Wednesday April 2, 2014 at Watson Fields Assisted Living. She was born February 19, 1926 in Somersworth, the daughter of Arthur and Germaine (Drouin) Nadeau graduated from Somersworth High School and went on the St. Joseph School of Nursing, graduating in 1948. Beatrice was a 1st Lieutenant with the U.S. Army Nurse Corp from 1952 - 1954. She was stationed in Kansas, Japan and was a Korean War Veteran. She began her civil service as a staff nurse at the Portsmouth Navy Shipyard in 1956 and joined the Pease community as a clinical nurse in 1973. Over her career she had 30 years of federal service before retiring in 1984. She was predeceased by her parents and a brother Marc Nadeau and his wife Jacqueline. Beatrice is survived by a nephew Jeffrey Nadeau Sr. and his wife Betty of Somersworth, three nieces Maureen Moore and her husband Lewis of Somersworth, Susan Cincotta and her husband Keith of Dover, Kathy Littlefield and her husband Michael of South Berwick, seven great nieces and nephews, and eight great great nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday at the St. Ignatius of Loyola Parish, Holy Trinity Church 404 High Street, Somersworth. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
