Barbara Wright Rome Barbara Wright, 70, of Rome, NY, passed away March 8, 2009, at Crouse Hospital in Syracuse from complications of lung cancer. Born at home in St. Johnsville, she graduated from St. Johnsville Central School in 1957. She worked for many years in the textile industry as a knitter. She was predeceased by her 8 brothers and sisters. Barbara is survived by her daughter, Gail Dickson, of Canajoharie; sons, Brett Hayes, of Gloversville, NY, Donald M. Hayes, of Rome, NY, and David Hayes, of San Francisco, CA; 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Per the wishes of the family, there will be no services held.
